The Shijiazhuang R&D Center is Graceland's core innovation platform for cosmetic and personal care ingredients.

With more than 100 researchers and technical professionals, the center combines expertise in synthetic biology, chemical synthesis, cocrystal engineering and plant cell engineering. These capabilities support the discovery and development of active ingredients, functional molecules and production processes.

The center connects laboratory research, process optimization and pilot-scale validation with Graceland's manufacturing network. This helps translate promising scientific concepts into scalable manufacturing processes and commercially viable ingredients.

Research priorities include high-purity functional ingredients, biotechnology-derived actives, and natural and bio-based ingredients. The center also develops crystallization technologies and process innovations to support Graceland's long-term innovation pipeline in Beauty & Care.

The Beijing R&D Center specializes in chemical process development and industrial scale-up. It supports Graceland's innovation in industrial chemicals and high-value specialty ingredients.

With a team of more than 50 R&D professionals, the center develops and optimizes scalable chemical processes. Its expertise spans synthetic route design, reaction optimization, catalytic processes, purification, crystallization and pilot-scale validation.

The center focuses on improving production efficiency while meeting the purity and consistency requirements of cosmetic and functional ingredients.

The center also develops and evaluates fragrance and flavor ingredients. This work combines chemical synthesis, process engineering and pilot-scale validation to support new product development and the transition to commercial manufacturing.
